Job Title: Direct Support Professionals

At Dungarvin, we are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual, and physical disabilities.

Job Summary:

As a DSP, you will be responsible for providing hands-on assistance, encouragement, and mentoring to individuals with disabilities. Your primary goal will be to empower individuals to live independently and comfortably, while maintaining their dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, including daily living tasks, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
  • Build relationships with persons served and teammates, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Transport individuals to appointments or activities outside the home, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Document progress, milestones, and action steps, providing valuable insights for care planning and development.
Requirements:
  • Person-centered, patient, and kind approach to care.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Observant and detail-oriented, with a focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.
  • Positive role-model for others, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment, promoting dignity and respect for all individuals.
  • Computer skills for documentation, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • 18 years or older, with a successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirements.
