Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a qualified professional responsible for the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing that impacts patient care and diagnosis.
  • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensure quality control, perform preventative maintenance, manage inventory, and compile statistical data.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives, performance enhancement, laboratory training, and proficiency assessments as required.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician Studies or a related scientific field.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of clinical laboratory methodologies and principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASCP certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Certification in a specialized area, such as M(ASCP), H(ASCP), or C(ASCP).
  • Current understanding of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.
  • Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
