Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute penetration tests on both internal and external network assets to uncover and demonstrate potential security weaknesses.
  • Engage in hands-on technical assessments that go beyond automated tools, including full exploitation and access leveraging across multiple environments such as cloud infrastructures and operating systems.
  • Develop detailed engagement strategies and meticulously document findings, vulnerabilities, and recommendations for remediation; effectively communicate identified risks to stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing research in information technology security to stay abreast of emerging threats and develop exploitative techniques that mirror the tactics of known adversaries.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of tools for penetration testing and early detection of vulnerabilities, adhering to established methodologies to ensure effective risk quantification.
  • Utilize both internal and external resources to gather intelligence on threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker methodologies.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management regarding findings and develop strategies for improving the overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of functional strategies and operational goals to enhance organizational services.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or 7 years with an advanced degree, in environments focused on integrated risk management.
  • At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in penetration testing for large and complex networks and cloud environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in information security and computer science.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, networking, applications, and operating systems.
  • Proficient in conducting thorough research using various sources, including social media analysis.
  • Experience with penetration testing frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and OWASP.
  • Hands-on experience with web and mobile applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to execute advanced techniques in application manipulation, exploit development, and stealth operations.
  • Programming experience focused on penetration testing or process automation.
