We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Critical Care team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a Veterinary Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our veterinary team to deliver high-quality medical care.
Responsibilities:- Partner with veterinarians in the ER and ICU to provide patient care, including triage, assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform nursing care for critical cases, including evaluating patient status and alerting veterinarians as needed.
- Utilize various imaging modalities for patient assessment, execute and monitor sedation and anesthetic events, and assist with minor surgical procedures.
- Place IV catheters, urinary catheters, and central lines, and obtain and process laboratory samples.
- Advocate for patient and client care at all times, and communicate with clients regarding hospital updates, test results, and financial information.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in an ER/Specialty care setting.
- CVT or VTS preferred but not required.
