About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who love working outdoors, have strong problem-solving skills, and enjoy interacting with new people. As a Utility Forester Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring safe delivery of power to communities while maintaining sustainable habitats throughout our utility right-of-way.

You will work independently, managing data, conducting tree and brush inventories, and performing hazard tree inspections. Your office will be the great outdoors, where you will travel to various locations and work in rugged terrain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
  • Conduct tree and brush inventories to ensure accurate data management.
  • Perform hazard tree inspections and evaluations to identify potential risks.
  • Plan work for tree contractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage data and maintain accurate records.
  • Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Degree in forestry or a related field and/or experience in utility line clearance.
  • Species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species, as well as tree growth rates.
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office software.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
