Job Summary:
Mountain View Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our sports medicine program, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to student athletes, developing and implementing injury prevention programs, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic training services for home and away games, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Act as liaison between family physicians, specialists, school districts, athletes, and their parents.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referral patterns.
- Develop and maintain a budget for the athletic training program.
- Schedule and participate in bump and bruise clinics as needed.
- Provide coaches and athletic directors with lists of medically eligible athletes.
- Ensure athletes' privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- BOC certification and licensure in the state of Idaho as an ATC/LAT.
- BLS/healthcare provider certification.
- At least 3 years of experience in an athletic training program at the college and high school level.
- Multi-level communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in stressful situations.
