Athletic Trainer

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to develop and administer a comprehensive sports medical program for schools in the MVH/IFCH contract. The successful candidate will provide professional and administrative services to ensure the successful implementation and development of the program.
The ideal candidate will have experience in athletic training programs at the college and high school level, with a strong background in sports medicine and emergency care. They will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of and communication with participating physicians, while maintaining accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referral patterns.
The Athletic Trainer will also be responsible for providing athletic training services for all home athletic contests and away football games, as well as developing and maintaining a budget for the athletic training program.

Responsibilities- Provide athletic training services for all home athletic contests and away football games
- Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes, and their parents
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referral patterns
- Develop and maintain a budget for the athletic training program
- Schedule and be present for bump and bruise clinics as needed
- Provide coaches and athletic directors with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations
- Provide athletic trainers with necessary equipment, supplies, and support
- Clear communication with other trainers as to their responsibilities within each school
- Develop open lines of communication with participating physicians, providers, and facilities
- Protect athletes' privacy of information, records, and injury status as per HIPAA compliance
