GMP Manufacturing Technician

The Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled GMP Manufacturing Technician to join their team in the Carolina Cord Blood Bank Lab. As a GMP Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for the complex and specialized manufacturing of cellular products for clinical use.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory operations and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with the Lab Manager and other team members to ensure the facility is in compliance with governing regulations and industry standards.
Key responsibilities will include operating manual and automatic instrumentation, accurately completing batch record documentation, and participating in proficiency testing surveys. You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to laboratory safety and infection control procedures, and working collaboratively with the department manager and other staff members.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and compliance.
