Key Responsibilities:
  • Preconstruction/Estimating: Engage in post-bid processes, buyout, verification of prequalification and CCIP requirements, coordination with subcontractors, and scheduling meetings.
  • Gather and analyze information such as unit prices, hourly rates, material costs, and availability.
  • Productions/Operations: Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in formulating the construction plan.
  • Update project schedules as mandated by the contract or as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Assist with short-range scheduling by confirming workforce, material deliveries, and supplier availability.
  • Prepare and negotiate change proposals, initiate change orders upon approval, and issue them to subcontractors and other parties.
  • Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in tracking Cost Events.
  • Compile, expedite, and monitor logs for shop drawings, submittals, requests for information, change orders, and material delivery logs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all project plans, specifications, subcontracts, purchase orders, and related documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of GMP or Lump Sum contract billing by organizing subcontractor and supplier invoices.
  • Generate directives or communications, and prepare meeting minutes, memos, and letters as assigned.
  • Proactively manage punch lists and follow up on work completion.
  • Assist with the preparation of closeout documentation and expedite final releases from subcontractors and owners.
  • Conduct monthly site safety reviews and communicate findings to the Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Foster positive relationships with the Owner, Architect, Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, municipal authorities, and Company personnel involved in the project.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred 4-year degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in scheduling, procurement, budget/cost control, financial reporting, and client relations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Competence in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Excel).
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • LEED background is a plus.
