Job Title: Principal Product Owner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Owner to join our team at Discover Financial Services. As a key member of our product organization, you will be responsible for defining and delivering product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to define product vision and strategy, prioritizing features and initiatives to deliver business value and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver product features, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the product team, ensuring alignment with senior leadership.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders, including senior leadership, product teams, and customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product management or engineering, with a focus on financial services or tech industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with experience in Agile product development and lean methodology.
  • Subject matter expertise in product-centric organizations, with experience in data mapping and vendor integrations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of JIRA and other project management tools.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base pay, with a range of $110,500 to $154,000.
