Job Summary:

GE Aviation is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at our Muskegon site. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in the manufacture of high-quality turbine airfoil products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and TIG weld aerospace castings and details.
  • Use fixtures, tools, and gauges to produce aerospace parts meeting blueprint drawing tolerances.
  • Follow detailed work instructions.
  • Practice weld procedures per GE and Nadcap/AWS specifications.
  • Work in a team environment, participate in Action Workouts, and contribute to the LEAN Manufacturing workplace.
  • Practice safe work habits and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years Gas Tungsten Arc welding experience (on the job or in the classroom).
  • Pass Gas Tungsten Arc Weld test on nickel base, cobalt base, and stainless-steel alloys (groove and fillet welding per MIL-W-1595).
  • Must be able to complete qualification training on nickel and cobalt per AWS D17.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency.
