Baskervill is a leading design firm with a strong presence in the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up project tables, billing, and budgets in our accounting system and reconcile contracts against billing setup.
  • Distribute, update, and generate draft invoices as required by assigned project managers.
  • Process consultant/expense invoices, coordinating with contract, budget, and billing terms.
  • Provide project reporting as needed to maintain accuracy and perform monthly project accounting closeout per assigned project managers.
  • Maintain project filing, including executed contracts and accounting-related records.
  • Respond to client and project team accounting-related requests as needed.
  • Perform Accounts Receivable functions, including generating monthly statements, requesting credits and write-offs, submitting lien waivers to clients, and filing documents.
  • Perform Accounts Payable functions, including reconciling invoices, entering expense data, and filing documents.
  • Assist assigned project managers, principals, and the accounting manager with special tasks as needed.
  • Provide accounting backup to other Project Accountants as needed.

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting/Business preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience (or equivalent).
  • Excellent organization skills; detail-oriented; efficient at prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure; meet deadlines; respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Possess and apply knowledge of office resources or tools to perform the functions of the position.
  • Experience in Deltek Vantagepoint, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Working knowledge of office copiers and scanners.
  • Communication skills that enable a professional approach to interaction with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
