Job Summary

Driscoll Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join our Pediatric Acute Care team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and manage complex medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Master's or Post-Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care (CPNP-AC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active and unencumbered license in the State of Texas
  • Minimum 1-2 years of pediatric acute care experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
