Job Overview

Primary Objective: Deliver exceptional food and beverage service to our patrons in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. Share insights on nutrition and the advantages of healthy eating habits with guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Arrive punctually in full uniform, prepared for duty, adhering to all grooming standards.
  2. Ensure uniform is tidy and pressed, complying with all uniform policies. Limit jewelry to one band-style ring (as per health regulations).
  3. Gather and set up the necessary tools to perform duties and complete pre- and post-shift tasks.
  4. Possess comprehensive knowledge of all café and bar menus, including wine selections.
  5. Prepare and serve fresh juices, smoothies, cocktails, wines, and other items as ordered, including those for café, pool, and in-room dining.
  6. Assist bar patrons with menu choices, accurately note selections, pay attention to special requests, and confirm orders before entering them into the POS system.
  7. Communicate any special orders or requests to the kitchen team as needed.
  8. Engage in daily juicing, blending, restocking, and rotating of fruits, juices, and wines.
  9. Maintain updated VIP and destination guest lists at the bar and participate in wine sales initiatives.
  10. Utilize suggestive selling and upselling techniques while taking orders.
  11. Maintain appropriate stock levels of supplies.
  12. Recognize guests by name and use their names at least three times during their visit, including during phone interactions.
  13. Remain in the Juice Bar area throughout scheduled shifts, except when attending to poolside guests or during breaks.
  14. Retrieve and secure cash bank at the beginning and end of shifts, documenting counts in the bank log.
  15. Answer all incoming calls within three rings, adhering to designated communication standards.
  16. Express gratitude to guests for their visit and invite them to return soon.
  17. Report any guest dissatisfaction, order issues, or improvement opportunities to management promptly.
  18. Thoroughly clean and maintain all assigned areas and equipment, ensuring items are returned to their original locations.
  19. Stay informed of current memos and updates.
  20. Notify supervisors of any negative guest feedback, safety concerns, or equipment issues.
  21. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards guests and colleagues at all times.
  22. Check in with the manager or supervisor before concluding the work shift.
  23. Act as a representative of Enchantment Resort and Mii amo by positively promoting the property.
  24. Demonstrate proficiency in using the POS system.
  25. Possess knowledge of the resort layout, amenities, operational hours, and special events.
  26. Encourage a collaborative work environment by assisting colleagues and other departments as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  27. Perform other assigned duties as required.

Supervision: No direct reports.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Café Manager and Café Supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times. Flexibility, self-motivation, and a positive attitude towards guests, coworkers, and management are essential. Current food handler's certification is necessary. Previous bartending and serving experience is preferred. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with guests. Basic computer skills are advantageous. Understanding of current liquor laws is important.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.

50% of the time involves walking, lifting, and bending.

50% of the time involves standing.

Requires good hearing and manual dexterity.

Distance vision of 1-3 feet is necessary.

Exposure to cleaning solutions may occur.
