- Prepare and serve fresh juices, smoothies, cocktails, wines, and other menu items.
- Assist guests with menu choices, accurately recording their selections and special requests.
- Communicate special orders to the kitchen team as needed.
- Engage in daily juicing, blending, restocking, and rotating of inventory.
- Maintain updated VIP and guest lists, participating in sales programs as required.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience.
- Keep track of supply levels to ensure availability.
- Recognize and address guests by name, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Remain in designated service areas during shifts, except when attending to guests.
- Manage cash bank responsibly, including counting and logging at the start and end of shifts.
- Answer phone calls promptly, following established protocols.
- Express gratitude to guests for their patronage and invite them to return.
- Report any guest issues or opportunities for improvement to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned areas and equipment.
- Stay informed of current memos and updates.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
- Communicate with management before concluding shifts.
- Act as a representative of the company, promoting its values positively.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the POS system.
- Understand the layout and amenities of the resort, including operational hours and special events.
- Encourage teamwork by assisting colleagues and other departments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervision: No direct reports.
Reporting Structure: Reports to Café Manager and Café Supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and demeanor are essential. Flexibility, self-motivation, and a positive attitude towards guests and coworkers are necessary. Current food handler's certification is required. Previous bartending and serving experience is preferred. Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication. Basic computer skills are advantageous. Knowledge of liquor laws is essential.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
50% of the time spent walking, lifting, and bending.
50% of the time spent standing.
Good hearing and manual dexterity required.
Distance vision of 1-3 feet necessary.
Familiarity with cleaning solutions.
