Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Primrose School of Yankee. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young minds, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in accordance with our Balanced Learning approach.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Implement lesson plans and daily schedules, adhering to our curriculum and programming.
  • Assess children's developmental needs and provide individualized support.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, promoting creativity and exploration.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior.
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school functions, staying up-to-date on best practices and policies.
  • Meet the basic requirements of local child care regulatory agencies and maintain a professional appearance.
Requirements
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program.
  • Knowledge of social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and emergency situations.
  • Infant-Preschool Teachers: 2-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in early childhood or related field required.
  • Kindergarten Teacher: 4-year degree in early childhood and certified to teach in the state required.
