Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Preconstruction and Engineering teams with proposal development, prequalification, bid support, and related activities.
  • Prepare project bids by collecting proposals, blueprints, specifications, and associated documents. Assess labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals and related documents. Calculate costs through take-offs and analysis of labor, materials, and time.
  • Update all Estimating and Design-Build projects; liaise with owners/developers/architects for names of potential bidding companies; procure plans and specifications for new projects; arrange bid bonds as necessary.
  • Monitor design scope for changes impacting budget and/or schedule; identify causes and advise clients for informed decision-making. Attend relevant meetings with project architects and clients to address unresolved issues and ensure adequate coordination.
  • Organize electronic files, bid documents, drawings, specifications, etc., for efficient retrieval.
  • Support the coordination and management of client data within Salesforce (CRM).

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in construction, business development, or marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Architectural, Engineering, or Construction sectors, focusing on preconstruction activities and/or preparing proposal/qualification documents.
  • Understanding of value engineering concepts and a working knowledge of current electrical codes, building codes, and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, and Accubid.
