Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient eligibility for insurance coverage and authorize referrals as necessary.
  • Monitor patient insurance status to ensure timely and accurate authorization of referrals.
  • Communicate with clients regarding appropriate use of medical benefits and support physicians and their staff in completing referral paperwork.
  • Track open orders and specialists' performance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, post-secondary education preferred.
  • Formal training in Medical Terminology required.

  • Experience in clinical settings and utilization management preferred.
