Lathe Machinist Position

We are in search of a skilled Lathe Machinist to contribute to our operations. In this role, you will be tasked with managing engine lathes, executing a variety of lathe functions, and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct turning, facing, boring, threading, reaming, and other essential lathe tasks
  • Choose and modify feeds, speeds, and tooling as necessary
  • Uphold quality standards to specified tolerances utilizing measuring instruments
  • Operate manual or powered material handling machinery
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the work environment
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED along with BOCES certification is mandatory
  • Successful completion of a proficiency assessment is required
Work Environment:

Be prepared for physical demands including lifting and prolonged standing. Anticipate exposure to various environmental factors such as fumes, dust, chemicals, and elevated noise levels. Appropriate safety gear and clothing must be worn consistently.
