Licensed Vocational Nurse

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, you will deliver nursing care in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient care functions, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care, within the scope of your competency and following established protocols.
- Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, notifying physicians or healthcare professionals for disposition and taking appropriate action.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician orders, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, identifying and arranging for repairs as needed.
- Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control, adhering to the Infection Control Manual.
- Monitor patient flow, assigning and directing other ancillary personnel as necessary.
- Provide medical information and education to patients, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Document pertinent patient information, assessments, and nursing procedures, following established protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and guidelines.
- Zero to one year of LVN experience.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support certification.
