About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex Bodily Injury claims from initial notice through resolution, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards and state-specific regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Handling: Manage multiple claim files simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure timely resolution while maintaining high-quality customer service.
- Coverage Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of coverage and policy conditions, verifying benefits available and applicable limits, addressing deductibles, co-insurance, and other relevant factors.
- Investigation/Evaluation: Gather and analyze relevant facts, consulting with experts as necessary, to determine coverage, liability, damages, and contribution potential.
- Negotiation/Resolution: Determine settlement amounts, negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits, and recognize alternative means of resolution when applicable.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of bodily injury liability claim handling experience, preferably with a reputable insurance company.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A strong understanding of claims handling processes, policies, and procedures, including state-specific regulations.
