About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Telecare Corporation. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with members served in meaningful conversations to explore and create recovery goals.
  • Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture.
  • Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide specialty mental health services to individuals with co-occurring disorders, who are uninsured or underinsured, and from underserved groups in Stanislaus County.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of Peer Support Training/Certified Peer Specialist or Peer Employment Training within one year of hire.
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system of care.
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.
