Occupational Therapy Assistant

Join the Global Center for Autism Services team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder.
Job Summary:The COTA will assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans, conducting patient evaluations, and developing intervention strategies to support children's occupational performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Occupational Therapist in conducting initial intakes and parent conferences to gather relevant information.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans, including goals and objectives, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Conduct patient evaluations using standardized assessment tools and develop intervention strategies to support children's occupational performance.
- Provide direct treatment to patients and create progress reports for submission to the Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
