Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the development, integration, and validation of our cutting-edge generator technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support hardware components and sub-systems from various perspectives, including functionality, durability, manufacturability, serviceability, cost, weight, and validation.
  • Collaborate with design, electrical, software, and performance teams to generate robust designs.
  • Conduct technical reviews to present findings and propose solutions for identified conflicts, manage trade-off discussions, and make engineering decisions.
  • Build, test, and validate prototypes early and often to identify design flaws.
  • Support the design checking process by reviewing prints and ensuring tolerances, processes, and material specifications align with our product design guidelines.
  • Support the identification and selection of suppliers to meet prototype and production needs.
  • Support the purchasing process and assist in the procurement of hardware from key suppliers as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience with a track record of successfully integrating and troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Experience with FEA toolsets such as ANSYS for GD&T.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years in the automotive, aerospace, or medical device industry.
  • Formula SAE or GE Engineering Development program background.
  • Exposure to electrical systems including motor, inverter, and batteries.
