We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the development, integration, and validation of our cutting-edge generator technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting hardware components and sub-systems from various aspects, including functionality, durability, manufacturability, serviceability, cost, weight, and validation.
  • Collaborating with design, electrical, software, and performance teams to generate robust designs.
  • Conducting technical reviews to present findings and propose solutions for identified conflicts, managing trade-off discussions and engineering decisions.
  • Building, testing, and validating prototypes early and often to identify design flaws.
  • Supporting the design checking process by reviewing prints and ensuring tolerances, processes, and material specifications align with company product design guidelines.
  • Supporting the identification and selection of suppliers to meet prototype and production needs.
  • Supporting the purchasing process and assisting in the procurement of hardware from key suppliers as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience, with a track record of successfully integrating and troubleshooting complex systems (mechanical, electrical, or thermal systems).
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) toolsets such as ANSYS for GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years in the automotive, aerospace, or medical device industry.
  • Formula SAE or GE Engineering Development program background.
  • Exposure to electrical systems including motor, inverter, and batteries.
