The Tool & Die Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Tool & Die area. Reporting directly to the Tool & Die Manager, this individual will oversee job assignments, production, and problem-solving efforts. Key Responsibilities
  • Support and adhere to Company Safety Programs to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supervise and evaluate the activities of Tool & Die employees, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
  • Manage conflicts and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Contract knowledge and application to drive process improvements.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in the design of job layouts to optimize production workflows.
  • Ensure and maintain quality standards in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain and enforce rules of conduct, promoting a culture of respect and professionalism.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Order supplies and components as needed to support production operations.
  • Communicate effectively with all production departments to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot dies and tooling to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Utilize people and time efficiently to drive business results.
  • Identify and provide necessary training for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman or 10 years' experience in Tool & Die.
  • 2 years of experience in supervising employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software applications.
Equipment Used

The Tool & Die Supervisor will utilize a range of equipment, including overhead cranes, die movers, forklifts, band saws, grinders, block and tackle, drill presses, lathes, impact wrenches, set-up wrenches, hand tools, gauges, micrometers, jacks, and extractors. Additionally, they may use a truck-mounted crane and tractor-trailer when applicable.
