Job Summary

Soliant Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in students across various age groups and educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for students based on assessment results.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in groups. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' speech and language needs in educational settings.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Licensure: Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligible for clinical fellowship year (CFY).
  • Experience: Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, students, and families.
