Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans: Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure seamless communication.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, including progress notes and IEP updates.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid State Licensure: Hold valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP): Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or be eligible for certification.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and professionals.
