Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with varying communication needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student success.
  • Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals, staying current with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student communication and learning.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • IL Teaching Certification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
