Shift: Day Shift, Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Time: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Qualifications:
Experience in floor care is essential, along with familiarity in operating floor care machinery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ensuring compliance with quality assessment and improvement initiatives, as well as safety and infection control standards.
- Follow a structured schedule that outlines the frequency and timing of tasks. Lead and collaborate with the cleaning team on assigned projects, and perform standard housekeeping duties when not engaged in project work.
- Manage waste disposal, including trash, biomedical waste, and recyclables, transporting them to designated collection sites and operating compaction equipment as necessary.
- Conduct floor maintenance tasks such as stripping and refinishing floors, as well as carpet extraction. Perform both dry and wet mopping of floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of walls and windows, including the handling of draperies and cubicle curtains. Ensure proper care and cleaning of patient equipment and furnishings.
- Assist in moving and relocating furniture and equipment as directed, and prepare spaces for meetings and activities.
- Execute isolation and terminal cleaning procedures as per established guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with residents, being mindful of their individual needs and conditions.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Understand and implement universal precautions relevant to the role.
- Perform all tasks with a focus on safety, respect, and care for residents, reporting any concerns to clinical staff promptly.
- Utilize vacuum cleaners and mechanical floor/carpet cleaning equipment as required.
- Assist other departments within the organization as needed.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Proven floor care experience is required, along with on-the-job training.
