Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assess and maintain various energy systems, including heating, cooling, plumbing, lighting, and kitchen equipment. Duties also encompass the repair of floors, roofs, and doors, as well as the installation of new features such as windows, carpets, and light fixtures. The following tasks are indicative of the role but are not exhaustive:
- Conduct routine maintenance by inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and performing preventative upkeep.
- Evaluate, operate, or test machinery or equipment to identify malfunctions.
- Adjust functional components of devices or control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
- Repair machinery, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, as well as precision measuring instruments or electrical testing devices.
- Exhibit basic skills in painting and carpentry.
- Utilize hand tools effectively.
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
- Make informed decisions and resolve issues.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials for quality assurance.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Align equipment or machinery as necessary.
- Examine mechanical equipment to identify damage, defects, or wear.
- Clean equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage snow removal as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of property grounds.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree is required. Strong experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and heating systems is essential. Previous experience in hotel or commercial property maintenance is advantageous. Certification as a Pool Operator is a plus.
