Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank. As a member of our facilities support team, you will perform a variety of general maintenance, facilities repair, and other related tasks throughout our branches, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide facilities support to assigned properties, including regular inspections and maintenance tasks.
  2. Perform small carpentry jobs, such as installing cabinets and fabricating shelving.
  3. Conduct clean outs of rooms, mechanical spaces, and basements as needed.
  4. Refer complex maintenance and repair projects to manager.
  5. Assist staff with moving furniture and other tasks.
  6. Supervise and assist vendors working at banking centers.
  7. Deliver items to and from branches and facilities as directed.
  8. Respond to work orders from management, including thermostat adjustments and safety-related issues.
  9. Provide excellent internal customer service.
  10. Transport heavy boxes of records for off-site storage.
  11. Perform various janitorial tasks, including cleaning cobwebs and unclogging toilets.
  12. Document site conditions, deficiencies, and project progress with pictures and videos.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in construction and/or property maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building trades, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Ability to use building maintenance and construction hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (at least 75 lbs).
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel document creation and Outlook email.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work independently with little supervision and to be a team player with a positive attitude. The primary schedule will be 8:00am-5:00pm (Mon-Fri), with occasional early starts and late finishes. The position also requires being on-call one Saturday every 5-6 weeks.
