Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Specialist to join our team at Eastern Industrial Automation. As a key member of our hydraulic division, you will be responsible for designing and detailing schematics for hydraulic systems, power units, and select components to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and detail schematics for hydraulic systems, power units, and select components.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems in-house and on-site at customers' facilities.
  • Design, size, select components, and write specifications for hydraulic systems.
  • Make fluid power presentations and conduct training for internal associates and customers.
  • Collaborate with field sales staff on joint sales calls.
  • Design, draw, and interpret hydraulic systems and schematics.
  • Contribute to meeting sales target goals and executing the hydraulic division marketing strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in fluid power technology in an engineering or sales support role.
  • Ability to apply common sense solutions and carry out instructions.
  • Experience and/or educational background related to mechanics, hydraulic systems, and mechanical products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and manage projects.
  • Good computer skills, including Windows-based applications, CRM, and CAD programs.
  • Specialized knowledge of hydraulic equipment, engineering, and applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing hydraulic systems and generate solutions.
  • International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) Certification is a plus.

This is a 40-hour per week position, Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM. The successful candidate will report directly to the Hydraulic Division Manager and will be provided with an automobile and technology tools. Travel throughout the North East is expected, with occasional overnight stays.
