Our primary service delivery occurs in the comfort of the patient's residence, with additional short-term inpatient support available at various facilities across the greater New York area.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the packaging, labeling, preparation, and distribution of pharmaceutical products under the direct oversight of a licensed pharmacist. Provide technical support throughout all stages of medication distribution and assist with clerical and supply-related tasks.

Although the workload is generally manageable, occasional lifting of boxes weighing between 25 to 30 pounds may be required.

  • Time Salary: $28.73 - $33.06 per hour
Qualifications:
  • Preferred registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the New York State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Previous experience with unit dose systems and IV preparation is advantageous.
  • Ability to distinguish between similarly named products.
  • Finger dexterity and mechanical skills for operating and maintaining unit dose machinery and typing.
  • Capability to occasionally lift heavy boxes (approximately 25-30 pounds).

Educational Requirements:
  • High School diploma with a background in mathematics and science.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from a nationally recognized pharmacy technician certification program (e.g., Pharmacy Technician Certification Board [PTCB] or National Health Career Association [NHA]).

COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged for all new hires prior to commencing employment at Calvary Hospital.
