Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the packaging, manufacturing, and distribution of drugs and supplies under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Perform various non-judgmental functions in all areas of the department, including ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution, sterile product preparation, manufacturing, and packaging.
  • Responsible for the procurement of inventory and inventory control.
  • Utilize automated and computerized technology as required.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • PTCB certification.
  • NYS Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Excellent communications, customer service, and business interpersonal skills.
  • PC, Windows, and other business or pharmacy computer system literacy.
