Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Brook Specialty Pharmacy in Bronx. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Preparation and Dispensing: Assist in accurately preparing and dispensing prescription medications under a licensed pharmacist's supervision.
  • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting patients with inquiries, processing transactions, and professionally addressing concerns.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure medication availability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Patient Records: Maintain precise patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Insurance Claims: Efficiently handle insurance claims processing and resolve reimbursement issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
