Overview
Synchrony seeks a highly skilled Technical Senior Security Engineering professional to design, build, and rollout new security capabilities for our perimeter defense solution. The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale enterprise environments, cloud technologies, and networking protocols.

Salary
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$185,000, based on industry standards and location adjustments. Eligibility for an annual bonus is tied to individual and company performance.

Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Senior Security Engineer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Perimeter Defense solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement security enhancements.
  • Maintaining awareness of emerging trends in Perimeter Defense technology and evaluating new tools and techniques for potential use in the organization.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex security issues related to Perimeter Defense technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical security engineering with a focus on Perimeter Defense.
  • Deep knowledge of Perimeter Defense technologies such as Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation systems.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security technologies.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Cloud technology including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
