As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our school system, ensuring the effective management of our resources, and providing strategic financial guidance to our Superintendent and Board of Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for the school system, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to the Superintendent and Board of Education, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Manage and supervise a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial services.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • CPA or advanced degree/doctorate preferred.
  • 9-12 years of managerial accounting experience, preferably in a government setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
