  • Adhere to classroom management tiers assigned to each student to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Correctly and appropriately use prescribed crisis intervention programs to support students in crisis
  • Supervise and execute school activities inside and outside the classroom to promote student learning and behavior
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and effective classroom environment that promotes student learning and behavior
  • Implement data-based decision making to inform instruction and interventions
  • Use formal academic and behavior data to inform interventions and support student learning and behavior
Requirements:
  • Ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection and guidance of potentially physically aggressive students during crisis situations
  • Ability to react quickly and be sufficiently mobile to redirect students that could be injurious to themselves or others
  • Ability to physically assist with evacuating students during emergency situations
  • Ability to earn and maintain full certification(s) in assigned crisis management programs
