Role Responsibilities


As a Supplier Management Program Lead, you will oversee all financial, scheduling, and technical performance aspects of subcontracts and suppliers within the ARCI Production program.

Your leadership will guide the Subcontract Management Team, serving as the Supply Chain lead for material activities, while collaborating with our Material Program Managers.

This position requires a blend of on-site engagement and remote work, with occasional travel to suppliers as needed. The role is highly visible within Lockheed Martin and among Customer leadership.

Key Duties:

  • Establish and uphold a programmatic business rhythm as the SMT and Supply Chain Lead to ensure that cost, schedule, and technical objectives are achieved for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Utilize supply chain metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement and track overall performance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate programmatic and technical discussions with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Manage all subcontractor/material budgets and funding allocations/limitations.
  • Address issues that pose risks to subcontractor and supplier performance while also identifying and leveraging opportunities.
  • Navigate customer-driven changes and their implications for subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Oversee the Earned Value baselines of subcontractors.
  • Supervise inputs, forecasts, and performance to plan for materials to ensure the program's Orders, Sales, EBIT, and Cash plans are fulfilled.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Subcontract Management and Material Procurement Management, encompassing RFP generation, Statement of Work creation through closeout.
  • Proficient in fixed price, cost reimbursable, and time and material subcontracting.
  • Experience in large-scale development and material procurement-intensive programs.
  • Proven ability to negotiate subcontractor scope and all aspects of the subcontract, both large and small scale.
  • Well-versed in Risk and Opportunity management.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with programs, subcontractors, and functional stakeholders, effectively maintaining these relationships through challenging issues and complex problems.
  • Proven experience managing programs and/or subcontractor performance from red to green status.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse subcontract management teams composed of representatives from multiple disciplines.
  • Willingness to travel to address potential subcontractor/supplier issues.
  • Experience in generating and presenting sourcing-related status and reporting metrics, including supplier risk-based indicator metrics, providing insights into supplier cost, schedule, and technical status.
  • Proven adaptability to multitask and support multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR (or international equivalents) and LM Acquisition Procedures.
  • Experience with the Truth in Negotiation Act (TINA).
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).
  • Eligibility to obtain a secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing geographically diverse teams.
  • Experience with international programs and subcontractors.
  • Previous experience with Lockheed Martin.
Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
