Cardiopulmonary Care Specialist

DMC Receiving Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Michigan, is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Cardiopulmonary Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of our experienced healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities. Your expertise will be essential in developing optimal care plans and collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
  • Instruct employees and students in respiratory care procedures and evaluate their competence
  • Function as an in-charge therapist and preceptor as requested
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program
  • Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • BCLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
  • Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan
