Job Summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a skilled Crane/Boom Operator to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely operating a crane or boom to transport materials to construction sites and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a crane or boom to load and unload materials from delivery trucks.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Calculate boom/crane capacities and weights to ensure safe operation and prevent damage to equipment and surrounding structures.
  • Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and supervisors to resolve any issues related to delivery duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of driving experience and one year of experience operating a boom or crane required.
  • Valid CDL Class A license required.
  • NCCCO certification required.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this job include lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds frequently and occasionally lifting and carrying up to 200 pounds with assistance. The work environment is a production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust.
