Job Summary

Drive for BFS, the leading supplier of building materials and services to the professional market. As a Crane/Boom Operator, you will transport materials to locations and customer sites, operating a crane or boom to load and unload heavy construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive delivery vehicles to transport materials and equipment to locations and customer sites.
  • Operate cranes and booms to load and unload heavy construction materials, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
  • Calculate boom/crane capacities and weights to prevent damage to equipment and surrounding structures.
  • Address customer issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery duties, including amounts and weights of materials, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of driving experience and one year of experience operating a boom or crane, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A license and NCCCO certification required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and occasionally lift and carry up to 200 pounds with assistance.
