Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crane/Boom Operator to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a crane or boom on our delivery trucks to transport materials to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive delivery vehicles to transport materials to customer sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Operate crane or boom equipment to load and unload materials, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery activities, including mileage, weights, and locations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of driving experience and one year of experience operating a boom or crane, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A license and NCCCO certification required.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a production environment with varying temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and mechanical parts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
