- Coordinate the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care and customer service goals.
- Provide professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirement, and organizational policies and procedures.

- Perform nursing and other patient care activities to ensure the physical and psychological well-being of the patient.
- Screen patients for appropriate information to ensure the Electronic Health Record (EHR) is up to date.
- Prepare patients for examination treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs, accurately documenting in the EHR available to the consulting physicians.
- Register and maintain timely, complete information in the patients' EHR and charts to ensure accurate patient care.
- Post tests and examination results immediately.
- Ensure that exam rooms are clean and well-stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examination of patients.
- Perform electrocardiograms.
- Dispense medication as directed, observing and recording patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments, and reporting same to provider.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnostic procedures, medications, post-treatment instructions, nutrition, and maintenance of general health and wellness.
- Understand diagnosis allowed for ordering tests/procedures to ensure reimbursement.
- Assist Bryan Heart with pre-authorizations, release of information requests, FMLA certification, etc.
- Respond to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Manage work hours, supplies, and other clinical costs in line with fiscal responsibility and budget.
- Attend meetings and participate on committees as assigned.
- Perform other tasks assigned by physicians and management.
- May assist providers in both Lincoln and Outreach Clinic sites.
- Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Nebraska required.
- Minimum of one-year nursing experience required, clinic nursing preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
