Orthopedic Surgery Provider

Regions Hospital is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Orthopedic Services team in a per diem/weekend position.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic surgery and clinic environments, with experience in first assisting and seeing patients independently.
Responsibilities will include coordinating patient care, assisting surgeons in the operating room and on nursing units, and directing post-operative nursing care.
Daily and rotating inpatient weekend rounding and/or call is expected in this position.
Per Diem APP Ortho positions are required to work at least 1 weekend per quarter.

Friday-Monday Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the State of Minnesota. Physician Assistant Certification required OR Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of MN. Current Nurse Practitioner Certification required. BLS or ACLS certification required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer 1-2 years' experience in the orthopedic surgery and clinic environment which includes First Assisting and seeing patients independently.
