Neuromuscular Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellow

Gillette Children's Specialty Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic physician to join our team as a Neuromuscular Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellow. This 6-month fellowship program is designed to provide advanced subspecialty training in neuromuscular orthopedic care for pediatric orthopaedic surgeons.
About the FellowshipThis fellowship has a strong clinical component, with the fellow participating in clinic with staff physicians and exposure to both pediatric and adult patients with neuromuscular disorders. The fellow will also participate in multi-disciplinary clinics, including spasticity evaluation clinic, spina bifida, early motor delay, neuromuscular upper extremity, and muscular dystrophy clinics.
The teaching will take place through a variety of methods, including one-on-one teaching with faculty physicians, didactic teaching in morning conferences, and dedicated time for scholarly activity. The fellow will work alongside orthopaedic surgery residents in a collaborative and supportive manner to ensure a mutually beneficial experience for all parties involved in education.
QualificationsTo be eligible for this fellowship, the candidate should have successfully completed an ACGME accredited (or equivalent) residency in orthopaedic surgery and a POSNA or ACGME accredited fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. The fellow must also be eligible for/obtain a physician/surgeon Minnesota Medical License.
Benefits and CompensationBenefits will be provided by Gillette Children's Specialty Health. Compensation will be at the level of a PGY-6 trainee in the state of Minnesota for the 6-month tenure.
