Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Oncology department at Bronson Battle Creek. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our healthcare team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist Registered Nurses in collecting data, accompanying patients, and responding to patient/family requests for services.
  • Pass medications and administer IV therapy, as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs, food and fluid intake, and output.
  • Manage IV fluid and medication administration, ensuring safe and appropriate delivery.
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel.
  • Perform various tasks, such as dressing wounds, giving enemas, and assisting with patient mobility.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; successful completion of an accredited LPN program.
  • Experience in a healthcare delivery setting preferred.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan.
  • BLS certification by the end of the core orientation period.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with frequent interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members. You will be required to rotate within the service line and related service areas, and may be exposed to high levels of mental/visual fatigue.
