Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Oncology Department at Bronson Battle Creek. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our healthcare team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist Registered Nurses in collecting data, accompanying patients, and responding to patient/family requests for services.
  • Administer medications and IV therapy, as delegated by the RN.
  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs, food and fluid intake, and output.
  • Manage IV fluid and medication administration, and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning, providing teaching materials and follow-up care as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of an accredited LPN program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • BLS certification within the core orientation period.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, rotating within service lines and related areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Work Environment

This part-time position is scheduled for 24 hours per week, with a 12-hour night shift. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
