Position Overview:

We are looking for a proficient Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join a leading chemical producer. This pivotal role requires a strong understanding of air quality management, hazardous waste handling, and wastewater treatment. As the EHS Coordinator, you will provide essential leadership and technical expertise in personnel safety, industrial hygiene, emergency preparedness, and site safety. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols at the facility
  • Manage air quality permits and ensure adherence to environmental regulations
  • Supervise the handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with legal standards
  • Direct wastewater management practices and ensure compliance with discharge regulations
  • Develop and enforce safety and health policies, including emergency response strategies
  • Conduct assessments of industrial hygiene and formulate annual sampling strategies
  • Ensure the application of safety procedures and critical life-saving measures
  • Promote continuous improvement in operational safety and environmental practices
  • Assist in maintaining external management system certifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the chemical production sector
  • Expertise in air quality management, hazardous waste protocols, and wastewater oversight
  • Strong foundation in environmental management and industrial hygiene
  • Demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership in safety and emergency situations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene standards
  • Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH are advantageous
